I put this photo/video together for Dad on his birthday two years ago. The music is composed by my friend, Lucian Keszeg. (FB viewers, click "View Original Post")

Training Day in Krems
A few times a year I give seminars at Danube University in Krems, Austria.
Was there again Saturday, working with a group of Austrian and German journalists--the subject was Visual Journalism.

Coming home was a little bit perilous. I discovered a significant antifreeze leak just as I was leaving Krems. With bitter cold weather on snow-covered roads -- and about an hour and forty five minute drive on even the best of days -- I was relieved when I arrived home without incident. As in, without my engine going boomboom.

Backstory: Behind the Scenes at the Balls in Vienna
My article for the Wall Street Journal on the peak of the Ball Season (which is NOW!) is in today's issue.
Some of the major Balls take place at the famed Hofburg Palace
(where the Hapsburgs lived and ruled,
where Mozart played for royalty as a small boy,
where the Austrian president resides....).
Workers mount an image.
In this quick video snippet, guys are laying one of the dance floors.
On the night of, the transformation was magnificent (Photo Courtesy of Kaffeesiederball)
